Producers, Harlene Stein and Wanda Webster, have formed an S Corporation, Voci Delle Donne, Inc., entirely for the production of DISEMBODIED VOICES.

HARLENE STEIN
A film and documentary producer/writer, Harlene formed Perma Productions in 1990 in Los Angeles, California. Her producing/writing credits include the short film ALONE, which won first prize in the Canadian International Film Festival in 1991 for best independent short film, LIKE THIS…, a documentary dealing with prostate cancer which won the Positive Lifestyle Award for best documentary in the 1999 Rhode Island International Film Festival, and LOOKING FOR LUCREZIA, a documentary about the 17th century nun, Lucrezia Vizzana, which premiered at the Italian Cultural Center in Los Angeles in 2001. She was an Associate Producer on IBSEN'S GHOST, a film made for PBS and a co-producer of NATIONAL PARKS for U.S. Educational Films. Harlene has also written lyrics for songs used in Francis Ford Coppola's THE RAIN PEOPLE and Richard Rush's PYCH-OUT.

Harlene is developing the feature film DISEMBODIED VOICES, based on her documentary about the nun composer, Lucrezia Vizzana, as well as the film THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED, which won first prize for best screenplay in the 2002 Rhode Island International Screenplay Competition. She also won first place in the 1997 Massachusetts Film Office Screenwriting Competition for her screenplay JIMMY, co-written with Victor Warren. She is currently writing a screenplay, SCANDAL AT TORRE DEL LAGO, about an incident in the life of the opera composer, Giacomo Puccini.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate with a Masters Degree in Music from The University Of California at Northridge, Harlene has sung in opera houses in Germany and Austria. She is the widow of the film composer, Ronald Stein.

WANDA WEBSTER
Wanda Webster has worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles since 1987.

She has worked on both sides of the camera, starting her career as an actress. She later moved into development with Christmas Tree Entertainment, a company at TriStar television.

She also worked as a literary agent for many years at The Gage Group. Writers she represented wrote for Touched by an Angel, Outer Limits, Walker, Texas Ranger, Stargate, and Jag under her guidance. Major studios such as Dreamworks and Universal Studios have developed scripts with her clients as well.

Her new company, Writementor, sets up mentoring programs with beginning writers and more advanced writers to help further along their careers. She is co-writing a book with Glenn A. Bruce, How to Write a Screenplay in 21 Days.

In 2004, Wanda worked on an independent feature film, CHECKING OUT. It stars Peter Falk, Laura SanGiacomo, David Paymer and Judge Reinhold. It has won five awards so far in the festival circuit: best film, best writer, best director, best actress, and the platinum award for best comedy feature.

In addition to DISEMBODIED VOICES, by Harlene Stein, Victor Warren, and Vince Morton, she is currently working on a documentary about Cuba and their Santeria practices.
